Article Review Process
Article Review Process
The article review process in our journal consists of four main stages: editorial preliminary review, peer review, revision, and publication.
1. Editorial Preliminary Review
Submissions to the journal are first reviewed by the editorial board for compliance with the journal’s publication principles, academic writing guidelines, and the ISNAD Citation System. During this stage, a similarity analysis is also conducted using the İntihal.net program. The similarity rate is expected to be below 15%. Manuscripts found to have a similarity rate above the specified threshold are returned to the author with the necessary explanations.
2. Peer Review Process
For manuscripts that successfully pass the preliminary review stage, a double-blind peer review process is initiated. The articles are submitted for evaluation to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Throughout the process, the identities of the author and reviewers are kept confidential from one another, and the evaluation is conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines.
If both reviewers provide positive feedback, the manuscript is accepted for publication. If one reviewer submits a negative report, the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer, and the final decision is made based on this evaluation.
3. Correction and Revision Process
If reviewers request corrections, authors are expected to re-upload their manuscripts to the system with the suggested changes highlighted in a different color. The revisions are first reviewed by the editor and then, if deemed necessary, by the relevant reviewers.
Manuscripts that have completed the peer review process are also reviewed by language editors. In cases where necessary for spelling and language, authors may be asked to make additional revisions. The language corrections are reviewed, and the final approval process is completed.
4. Publication Process
Articles that successfully complete the scientific review, technical review, and language review processes are prepared for publication following typesetting and page layout. Works that receive final approval are published in the next available issue.
